Textures of place
These drawings are created using brushes made from foraged material. Under each coordinate, I sampled different materials and transformed them into brushes. Utilising the brushes I am experimenting with materials' physicality and the result is an expression of its texture. The Marks made are a collective of textures that when combined give the feeling of place. Furthering this, I am continually feeding the process with new material, which incorporates a seasonality to the work. This adds a movement through time to the works like the melody to the music.
